How SealedApply works
A search has five stages. Here is what happens in each one, for your hiring team and for the people applying.
1. Create the search
Sign up, name your organization, and add your logo. Then create a search: the job title, a short description, the job description file, and a deadline (or "open until filled").
Choose what applicants send. Most teams ask for name, email, phone, resume, and cover letter. You can add a LinkedIn link, "how did you hear about us," and up to five custom questions.
2. Share one link
Every search gets its own apply page, like sealedapply.com/apply/your-org/executive-director. Paste it into your job posting, your website, LinkedIn, and email. Questions from candidates go to the contact email you choose, not to us.
3. Applications arrive sealed
When someone applies, their files are stored encrypted and only your hiring team can open them. The applicant gets a confirmation email written in your organization's name. Your hiring team can get a daily digest of new applications instead of an email for each one.
4. Review together
Invite hiring team members by email. Each member can rate applicants, leave notes, and move them through stages: New, Reviewing, Interview, Finalist, Offer, or Declined.
On paid searches, AI reads each application against your job description and adds:
- A short summary of the person's relevant experience
- Strengths and gaps compared with the job description
- A fit score from 0 to 100 and a suggested ranking
- Three follow-up questions to ask in an interview
Scores are advice only. A person on your hiring team makes every decision. Turn on blind review to hide names and personal details during the first pass. Read how the AI works.
5. Close and clean up
When you fill the role, close the search. Send status emails to everyone still waiting, export your notes, and set when the files get deleted. The default is 12 months after closing, and you can delete sooner.
