Getting started
Go to app.sealedapply.com/signup and create an account with your email. You'll be asked for your organization's name and, if you have one, a logo. That's all you need to create your first search.
Your first search is free with up to 25 applicants. You don't need a credit card until you upgrade.
Creating a search
From your dashboard, choose New search. Fill in:
- Job title, shown at the top of the apply page
- Description, a few paragraphs about the role and your organization
- Job description file (PDF or Word), which applicants can download and the AI uses for scoring
- Deadline, a date or "open until filled"
- Contact email for candidate questions
- Fields: name, email, and resume are always required. Turn on phone, cover letter, LinkedIn, "how did you hear about us," and up to five custom questions.
Choose Publish to make the apply page live. You can edit everything except the fields after applications start coming in.
Inviting your hiring team
Open Team on the search page and enter each member's email. They get an invitation to sign in. Members can see every application in that search and nothing else.
Owners can edit the search, invite members, send applicant emails, and handle billing. Reviewers can read, rate, comment, and move applicants between stages. Remove a member at any time and their access ends immediately.
Reviewing applicants
The search page lists every applicant. Select one to read their resume, cover letter, and answers side by side with the AI summary.
- Rate from 1 to 5. Each member's rating is kept separately and the average is shown.
- Comment to leave notes for the hiring team. Applicants never see comments.
- Move applicants through New, Reviewing, Interview, Finalist, Offer, or Declined.
- Sort and filter by stage, average rating, or AI score.
AI summaries and scores
On paid searches, each new application is reviewed by AI within a few minutes. You'll see a summary, strengths and gaps, a fit score from 0 to 100, and three interview questions.
If you upgrade a free search, AI reviews every application you already have. You can turn AI review off for a search under Settings.
Scores are a starting point, not a decision. Read how the AI works and its limits.
Blind review
Turn on Blind review in search settings to hide names, contact details, and photos from reviewers. Applicants appear by their application number, like SA-0412. Owners can reveal identities when the hiring team is ready to move people to interviews.
Emailing applicants
Every applicant automatically gets a confirmation email when they apply. You can edit the wording and the signature under Settings, then Emails.
To update applicants in bulk, select them in the list and choose Send update. Pick a template (moving forward, not selected, position filled) and edit it before sending. Emails come from SealedApply on behalf of your organization, and replies go to your contact email.
Closing a search and deleting data
When you've filled the role, choose Close search. You'll be offered a chance to send a final update to everyone who hasn't heard back.
Export your shortlist and notes as a spreadsheet from Export. Files are deleted 12 months after closing unless you pick a shorter time, and you can delete a search immediately from Settings. Deleted files can't be recovered.
Plans and billing
Upgrade from Billing in your dashboard. A per-search purchase applies to one search for 90 days. The Unlimited plan bills monthly and can be cancelled any time. Receipts are emailed to the account owner and listed under Billing. See pricing.
Questions from applicants
If you applied for a job, questions about that job go to the organization's contact email, shown in your confirmation email. To ask for your information to be deleted, see our page for applicants.
